Royal Easter Show 2012
Sydney Royal Easter Show Performance and Parade – Tuesday 10th April, 2012
Rehearsal
All Performers have a compulsory rehearsal on Tuesday 3rd April 7-9pm at Dance Sensation Lane Cove. I understand for the younger students this is a later timeslot but it is a once off and the best time for us to be able to get ALL our Performance Groups together at once. At this rehearsal you will also receive your free ticket into the show and your hair and make up note.
You must bring your practice TIZZLE! (Instructions below)
All performers need a YELLOW Dance Sensation T-shirt – let us know ASAP if you don’t have one.
All performers need BLACK shorties (short bike pants), shimmer/skin colour stockings and black dance sneakers.
Easter Show Performance
The Performance and the Parade involve ALL performers. We will supervise students backstage but immediately upon performance completion they are to be collected by a parent.
Where: TVS Community Stage, The Park, where Showground Road meets Riverina Ave
Arrive: 10:30am with hair and make-up already done. Do not go on rides before your performance.
Perform: 11am-11:20am
Parade
We will supervise students in the marshalling area but immediately upon parade completion they are to be collected by a parent at the same marshalling area. Make sure you organise for someone to hold your belongings whilst you’re performing.
Where: Marshalling area – Entertainment Undercroft on Hawksberry Street
Arrive: 2:30pm
Perform: 3pm – approx 3:30pm
The Parade route is up on the wall at the Dance studio.
Some rules for the day
- Be on time and know where you are supposed to be (organise to be early to allow for traffic etc)
- Do not wear your costumes around the show. They are only to be worn at scheduled performance times.
- You need to keep your hair and make up super neat for the parade (save crazy rides and messy food till after 3:30pm)
- Have FUN!
COSTUMES
AT YOUR NEXT CLASS – Please bring a $10 costume fee for those wearing a costume plus a tutu and a $5 costume fee for those wearing just a tutu. Accompanied by a $15 deposit. Please have your deposit in an envelope with your name on it.

There will be four Performance Groups in 2011!
Year 2 – Year 4 PG1 – Sat 11:30am-1:00pm
Year 5 – Year 6 PG2 – Fri 4:00pm-6:00pm
Year 7 – Year 9 PG3 – Tues 5:30pm-7:30pm
Year 10 – Adult PG4 – Tues 7:30pm -9:30pm

SENSATION’S TAP EXAMS
It’s CONGRATULATIONS time to all our fabulous Tap Dancing students.
Well Done to ALL our Tap Dancers who were brave enough and dedicated enough to dance their tap exams this year. Our marks and averages were higher than ever with an amazing 12 students scoring 90+ WOWEE! Some honourable mentions go to the following dancers…
